Rifle Paper Co - Film

Rifle Paper Co is one of my favorite things. Just in general.

When Anna sent over my logo and blog designs several months ago, I jumped up and down with excitement. And it makes me happy every day to go my website and see the beautiful blue and green colors, so perfectly designed.

Winter Park is also one of my favorite things. David and I lived there for a few months right after we got married. We try to go back to visit and explore all of the new growth as often as possible. When Anna announced the opening of the new Rifle Paper Co store, we called a babysitter and were sure we wouldn't miss it! I took my Contax to document a store opening that actually meant something to me. I was really excited to see Anna's business grow and was happy to be a part of it.

I sent the photos to Anna right when they arrived. A week later, while searching for a race car grocery cart in the Publix parking lot with the husb and T, I noticed that interesting things were happening with my websites/social media. I finally realized that Anna had posted my photos on her blog! I had the goofiest smile and was pretty much skipping through the entire store. Oh happy day!

(Goodness, and I just noticed another photo on Anna's about page!)

HERE is the link to Anna's post. Please go check it out! You should also go buy some of her goodies at the Rifle Paper Co online store. I just did (20% off with code CHEER15 through 12/25!)

100cameras.org

While in NYC, I was super excited to catch up with one of my longest-known friends, Angela. We had a great time catching up while walking The Highline Park and stopped in for a snack, where I snapped a few photos.

I've loved keeping up with Angela's work. In particular, she and some friends founded a nonprofit, 100cameras, that gives kids in bleak living conditions cameras to document their lives.

The photos they take are shown in exhibitions in NYC to raise awareness and money that is sent back to meet the children's needs. Prints are also available for sale on their website.

I absolutely love this idea. I think simply giving kids a creative outlet to express themselves and let them know their work has value is an accomplishment in itself. Please go visit 100cameras.org and help support what they're doing!

It was so lovely to see you again, Angela!

Time ran away from me this week! I've been working on an album + exciting things have been happening for KBP (news to come later), and my NYC photos have been waiting patiently to be blogged. I love looking through these. We really had a wonderful trip!

Using up film. You have to hand check 3200 speed in the airports ( = don't leave undeveloped film in your camera).

Probably a fave pic of myself. No glasses. I need LASIK.

In case you're curious, there are no digital photos until the cake cutting. Then, they're mixed.

Much love and thanksgiving on this special week!
