Our Wedding

I mentioned a while ago that I planned to do a post of our wedding photos. Then I didn't, but someone mentioned it in a comment a few weeks later. It still took me a while to complete, but here is it!

David and I got married at Melhana Plantation (it's no longer Melhana) in Thomasville, Georgia, on January 6th, 2007. Bryan Johnson of A Bryan Photo was our wedding photographer and Caleb Chancey was his assistant/second shooter. My mom actually introduced me to Bryan's work a good while before any wedding planning started (he married the daughter of one of my mom's oldest friends from working as Delta flight attendants). We knew we wanted to hire Bryan even before David proposed. And we're so glad we did. Beyond our wedding photos, I've been able to keep in touch with Bryan with business questions and attend his workshop. I recommend him over any other photographer.

One of my favorite things about looking back through these photos is thinking about where all of the people in them are now. A lot has happened in almost-four-years.

Much love,
Kallie

  2. I felt my eyes tearing up a bit as I looked through these and remembered all the fun we had that day. It was glorious! Everybody looks older now except you and David---still 15!
    I love you,

  3. That was me that requested to see them! You have such a great style! I used to live in Savannah, and all the spanish moss took me back. What a classic affair you had! Thank you for the lovely post.

  5. Ah! I am not so great at adding an identity to these blogs! :) My name is Ellie, I live in Oregon now with my new husband (yay!) in a cute little 1960's house. I just love your photography, but really enjoy the images you share of your parties and family. Now, I read both yours and your husbands blogs! You and your family are just beautiful and a great source of inspiration. I just love all the smiles!
    Thank you!

  6. Hi Ellie!! It's very nice to meet you. I love your comments! David just smiled SO big that he has a reader in Oregon. You made his day!

We want to go to Oregon so bad. It's on the top of our list for trips next year. That said, if you know anyone who needs a wedding photographer, we'd love to come travel and take photos - and meet you, of course!

Thank you so much for writing and keeping up with us! We should make our new friendship official on facebook! ;)

A big congrats on getting married!

    Best wishes,
    Kallie
