I'm super excited to share these photos with you! I loved designing this fiesta-themed party for my hubs. We had such a great time!

For the invitation, I printed out the lettering and then drew the "papel picado" design around the words. I went over everything with a carbon pen, burned a screen with my Gocco machine, and made prints.

I used air plants, bougainvillea blooms, beautiful cacti, mangos, and limes as centerpieces.

The "25" papel picado (Mexican banner) took about two months to complete. I drew out the design like the invitation. Then I cut it out with an X-acto over heavy cardstock to make a template. I then folded each color of tissue paper to make 8 layers and cut each color separately. I had calluses on my fingers from the knife.

We had our favorite local Mexican food van,
Taco Xpress (we call it Magic Taco), cater.
