Firsts: Face Painting

We had a great time at the Fremont Food Truck Festival back in May, but the best part? Tova's very first face painting. She took it very seriously. And she loved it so much.

I love her shoulder covered in glitter.

A Year in Review

The end of 2011 is a huge blur. We went to Thailand, three days later David moved to Seattle, all of the holidays hit, we packed, worried about housing, saw family, said goodbyes, etc. Doing a Christmas card in the midst of this chaos was clearly a terrible idea. So we didn't do one. With so many milestones happening within one year - January 2011 to January 2012 - I figured it would be a good idea to send out a year-in-review to our family and close friends. It served as a big update, a [belated] Christmas card, and change of address rolled into one nicely designed package.





I enjoyed designing this myself, but I must give credit where credit is due. I was highly influenced by several other YiRs, particularly this one and this one.

Som and Tik in Thailand Part 1

Som and Tik had a traditional Thai wedding in the Province of Si Sa Ket, Thailand. The wedding lasted all day, with a break in the afternoon. We were up at 3am, took a nap during the break, and went to bed at 11pm. It was long, rewarding day. I have decided to break up the wedding into several parts to blog so that the number of images are less overwhelming. Here is part 1:
